MUSICA DEL VIVO
A young music association bringing young people closer to classical music.
The Musica Del Vivo association was born from the shared vision of a group of musicians from the Rome area: to give space to the work of emerging composers and performers.
What we do
Breaking into the programming of the major institutions — rightly devoted to spreading and preserving a vast musical heritage — is not easy. Through concert series for mainly chamber ensembles, Musica Del Vivo aims to give emerging composers the chance to perform their scores live, scores that too often risk remaining only on paper. To this end, and to enable recording sessions for small productions as well, the association founded its own resident ensemble, the Tin Pan Orchestra. The ensemble’s regular meetings open up a space of exchange between composers and performers, breaking down the boundaries that keep them apart and restoring the original unity between theory and practice that lies at the heart of music-making.
An innovative approach
Musica del Vivo was created as a place of dialogue and exchange — not only between composers and performers, but also with an audience that is as diverse as possible. For this reason, the association’s concerts take place not only in the most traditional institutions and concert halls, but also in venues that do not usually host classical and contemporary music.
